Everything Has a Learning Curve

An “I can do it” attitude is obviously a lethal weapon and the ideal way to think. But keep in mind: everything has a learning curve.

Yes, I can do it. 100%. Carry on. Go for it! 

And:

I’m going to fuck it up.

I’m going to fuck it up the first time. 

Build the first few fuck ups into the estimate. Please. 

In summary:

I can do it! Thank God this is my mental starting place. I’m beyond privilege to be wired this way. 

And now that I’m a few miles from the starting line; adjust for awareness: everything takes time, trial, and error. Account for it. And those ever-so-rare cases when I sock a homer on my first swing? Savour the sweet sweet surplus. Treat myself to something nice.
